2. Preventive maintenance

Preventive maintenance Honeywell is to carry out planned and regular maintenance of the system when the system is in normal operation, to grasp the operating status of the system in time, and to take measures against possible failures to eliminate hidden dangers of system failures and to ensure the long-term stable and reliable operation of the system. That is to say, planned active maintenance for upcoming failures. This kind of maintenance can generally only be completed when the device is overhauled, mainly including:

1) Power-off overhaul for the control station, operation station, and engineer station, including dust cleaning of the host computer and control station cards.

2) System redundancy test, including power supply, server, controller, communication network, etc.

3) System grounding inspection, including grounding resistance test for working grounding and protective grounding, etc.

4) After the overhaul is completed, after the power-on conditions are met, it must be powered on step by step according to the strict power-on steps.

Preventive maintenance is the basis for ensuring the long-term operation of the device. If preventive maintenance is not in place, it will cause the system to malfunction. When the PKS system operating station of a certain device is running, the fan failure alarm dialog box pops up on the operating screen.

The northbridge chip of the PKS system operating station computer DELLT5500 has a cooling fan. When this fan fails, this alarm will appear. Fan failures are mostly due to a large amount of dust collected in the fan blades in the environment, causing the fan to stop rotating. Therefore, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the device, timely preventive maintenance is essential to the normal and stable operation of the DCS system.
