Description

The 2711P-T12C6D2 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This PanelView Operator Terminal is part of the PanelView Plus 1250 product category that is built with a variety of communication interfaces for flexibility of communicating with controllers utilizing modern and legacy protocols. It has multiple integrated communication ports such as Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO), DH485 as well as the standard communication interfaces of Ethernet and RS232 ports.

The 2711P-T12C6D2 may be configured to communicate using FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Studio or FactoryTalk View Site Edition Studio. These different software versions cover specific product lines, with the Machine edition supporting PanelView terminals while Site Edition studio covers both PanelView products and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications. This operator terminals is provided with the runtime environment, FactoryTalk View Machine Edition runtime, used by the operator terminal to execute the downloaded HMI application. This machine edition runtime software is fully functional and does not require manual license activation.
